There are several reasons as follows :

Make sure you are using the correct product updater.
- There are MacDraft PE updaters and MacDraft Pro updaters.

Make sure you are using the correct updater.
- There is a version 5.5.x to 5.5.11 updater, this will only work on release versions of MacDraft 5.5.0 to 5.5.10.
- There is MacDraft 5.6.x to latest version updater which will only work on release versions of MacDraft 5.6.0 and above.

Make sure you are using the correct version of the software with the updater you are trying to use.
- If you are trying to use the 5.5.x->5.5.11Updater, make sure you ARE using version 5.5.x.
- If you are trying to use the 5.6.x->Latest_Version_Updater, make sure you ARE using version 5.6.x.

If you are using version prior to 5.5.0 or you want to use the latest version, you need to upgrade. Click here to take you to Microspot Upgrade request form.If you still have problems, please contact Microspot Technical support. Click here to take you to Microspot Technical Support form.

I'm running Mac Pro 5.6.5 and it won't install. Issues with changing preferences and it stopped. System 10.5.5 and a 1.6 ghz Airbook. Help.

I'm running MacDraft Professional 5.6.5 and when applying the requisite patch prior to installing version 6.0 the installation errors out when trying to change the permissions for content, info.plist, MacOS, Content/MacOS/MacDraft, Content/Resources, MacDraft.rsrc
