Yes you can but ...
- If you have files created in older version of MacDraft Pro (aka MacDraft), it means you already own MacDraft Pro so you should upgrade to the latest version rather than purchase MacDraft PE from fresh. Click here to take you to the upgrade page.
If you do not wish to upgrade to the latest version of MacDraft for some reason and purchase MacDraft PE instead then please beware of the following :
- MacDraft PE will only open files created by MacDraft version 4.3.5 and later, you may just need to add the extension .mdd.
As MacDraft PE (Personal Edition) is a cut down version of MacDraft and is limited in what it can do, the file may not open in it's entirety. The two main limitations are - Maximum Drawing area of 17"x17" and only 5 layers support. Any older documents that are larger than 17"x17" then only the top 17"x17" of the document will be visible and if the document contains more than 5 layers, all layers past 5 will be merged into 5th layer and you will not be able to separate them. Click here to see the Full list of differences between MacDraft Pro and MacDraft PE.
- MacDraft PE will not be able to open any files created by MacDraft prior to 4.3.5. if you have any files created by MacDraft version prior to 4.3.5 then you need to see the section 'Can I open older MacDraft files in current version of MacDraft ?' and if the files are still intact, you will need to upgrade to MacDraft Pro version to open them.

I have an older version of macdraft on a 3.5 floppy that no longer works. I have water pipe files that I can no longer use. If anyone can send me a copy at a reasonable price or one I can download I would be grateful. Thanks
